The Academy Software Foundation (ASWF) recently launched a Diversity & Inclusion Working Group to partner with open source projects and industry to affect change. Open Source is well poised to be an excellent entry point for people of all backgrounds into many industries, especially media and entertainment. In this talk, we will outline the overall mission and goals for the ASWF Diversity & Inclusion Working Group, emphasizing opportunities for involvement.  The session will conclude with a panel discussion on the current state of diversity and inclusion in Open Source and where we hope to see it in the future.
